The Musée Régional de Fouras-les-Bains is housed in the heart of the town's most important historical and military building, the Fort Vauban keep.
The museum's 10 rooms tell the story of the town and its surroundings, following a thematic path: geology and archaeology, military history, seaside history, maritime history... An art collection and a documentary collection have also been developed.
Admission to the museum includes access to the dungeon terrace. Guided tour of the fortifications, from the underground room to the terrace.

Opening period

From 13/04 to 12/05/2024, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
Open exceptionally on 01/05, 08/05 and 09/05.

From 13/05 to 30/05/2024, every Saturday and Sunday between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
Open exceptionally on 20/05.

From 01/06 to 15/09/2024
Opening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10 am and 12 pm and between 3 pm and 6.30 pm.

Musée Régional de Fouras

Museum tracing the history of the territory.

The Regional Museum of Fouras-les-Bains is located in the heart of the most important historical and military building of the city, the dungeon of the Vauban Fort.
The visit of the museum tells in 10 rooms the history of the city and its environment according to a thematic course: geology and archaeology, military history, seaside history, maritime history... An artistic collection as well as a documentary collection have also been developed in the rooms.
The entrance of the museum includes the access to the terrace of the keep. Guided tour of the fortification from the underground room to the terrace.
From February 14 to March 12: the terrace is not accessible because of works.

From 04/02 to 05/03/2023 between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
Closed on Monday.

From 06/03 to 07/04/2023, every Saturday and Sunday between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
